Webzen starts local tests ahead of Taiwan service 'R2M'
[Moon Moon Young-soo] Webzen (CEO Kim Tae-young) announced on the 1st that it started the Taiwanese private test (CBT) of the mobile game 'R2M'.
The company will conduct a local test of 'R2M: 火 火' for 3 days from 12 pm to 19 pm on the 3rd. During this CBT period, only the Android operating system (AOS) will be provided, but the official service will also provide simultaneous version of the Apple operating system (iOS).
The local CBT will focus on checking the user's server stability and localization. In addition, based on the opinions obtained from the test participants, the development will be further enhanced to the formal service.
Webzen has opened a pre-download page from the 30th to reduce the congestion of server in the early stages of the service, and has provided client downloads. Webzen plans to expand the service area to the Chinese regions such as Hong Kong and Macau, which use Chinese (trail) in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, R2M is a large multi-scale-based role-playing game (MMORPG) based on Webzen's PC online game 'R2'. Since its launch in Korea in 2020, it has ranked 3rd in Google Play's sales, and is still in the top 20.
